The revision of the regulation strengthening the European emission reduction standards for heavy-duty vehicles (buses, trucks and trailers) is in its final steps. The formal adoption by the Parliament and the Council will be followed by publication in the Official Journal. The regulation will enter into force 20 days after publication in the Official Journal and apply from 1 July 2025.
Heavy-duty vehicles are responsible for more than 25% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from road transport in the EU and account for over 6% of total EU GHG emissions. The new emissions targets will be a reduction of -45% for the period of 2030-2034, 70% for 2035-2039 and 90% as of 2040.
In this webinar relevant associations, shippers and logistic companies will share their opinion on the content, scope, and feasibility of the new standards and share their views on a roadmap to successfully and affordably achieve the targets.
Recordings from the webinar are available exclusively for ALICE Members through the ALICE Knowledge Platform; please access them via the following link
