We are pleased to welcome LOXO, a Swiss deep-tech start-up specialising in
autonomous driving technology, as a new member of the ALICE community.
Based in Bern, LOXO is at the forefront of developing intelligent, sustainable, and
scalable solutions for the next generation of urban logistics. Their flagship innovation,
the LOXO Digital Driver™, is Europe’s first Level 4 autonomous driving system
authorised to operate on public roads. This breakthrough positions LOXO as a key
player in redefining how goods move through cities.

Transforming commercial transport with full autonomy
Unlike traditional driver-assist technologies, the LOXO Digital Driver™ enables fully
driverless operations, combining a high-performance AI core with a robust sensor
suite- including solid-state LiDAR, radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. Crucially,
the system is vehicle-agnostic and designed to seamlessly integrate into commercial
fleets, enabling rapid adoption across sectors.
Through virtual mapping and a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, LOXO’s solution
ensures scalability, cost efficiency, and ease of deployment for diverse logistics use
cases.

A shared vision for future logistics
LOXO’s mission strongly aligns with ALICE’s vision of achieving zero-emission,
automated, and interconnected supply chain ecosystems. In particular, their work on:
• Autonomous middle- and last-mile logistics
• Deployment of dynamic micro-hubs
• Scalable automation in urban delivery
… supports our ambition to transform logistics through innovation, digitalisation, and
system-wide collaboration.

 Strengthening the ALICE community
By joining ALICE, LOXO brings not only cutting-edge technology but also deep expertise
in operationalising autonomy in real-world environments. Their insights will enrich our
work on automation in logistics, particularly through task forces and projects that
bridge the gap between R&I and deployment.

We look forward to collaborating with LOXO to push the boundaries of what’s possible
in sustainable, intelligent freight transport.
